“You can have data without information, but you cannot have information without data.”
— Daniel Keys Moran
We’d like to start this edition by thanking everyone who participated in our first-ever reader survey! We are more than grateful to have as many responses as we did!
The data collection went over surprisingly well, and in this edition, you will be able to read about the results of the form. The results were somewhat surprising to our little team at KNN headquarters, and we thank you all for being so transparent with your responses!

Human Behavior
So much of human behavior is unknown to us. Why do we have such complex mating rituals? What's the biological purpose of being an awful person? How do we contextualize learning about our brain, as a brain ourselves? Well, most of what we know has been taken from data. Lots and lots of data. Some data are taken in such obscene ways that literal Nazis did them. We know so much about ourselves because of research on those before us. And from knowledge of completely different people, we can better understand who we are, and who we are not. This is to say that the human experience may seem both universal and yet completely different at times. Still, through precise research, we can rectify that inconsistency in our mind, through the words of another.

I have been assigned the job of reviewing the Google Form from the last KNN and putting it into a summary for the readers of this (Hallos). From what I’ve seen, the people who’ve filled out this form like people who are trusting, smart, kind, easy to get along with, and have relatable humor.
Many people also agree that people who have no sense of boundaries and a conditional friendship aren’t good traits for a friend. People then go into the topic of liked traits; being dependable and accepting. It goes further into detail and such, but it seems like the crowd for the KNN is filled with people who think about their friendships and know what they need/accept from one of their friends (which is a good trait to have dw).
